Colocation Data Centers: Sell Space Fast with 6SigmaDCX Release 15

We recently launched the 15th release of our simulation software 6SigmaDCX. The 6SigmaDCX product suite generates a Digital Twin of the data center that can be used as a centralized platform for analysis and decision-making.  Our product development team worked with input from customers in the colocation space to maximize 6SigmaDCX’s functionality and flexibility for this sector. Many of Release 15’s new features enable colocation users to reduce guess work and risk, ultimately streamlining the selling and renting process.

We recognize how fast paced this process can be for colocation facilities. Release 15 has new features that help you not only keep up with this pace but plan more effectively for future requests. In this way, you can better ensure that you’re taking the necessary steps to maximize capacity.

One of our Product Managers, David King, put it this way: “When we talk with those in the colocation sphere, they always highlight the difficulties that come with the selling process, so we spent a fair deal of time working on how we could help streamline that process. This was the inspiration behind the cages feature and new capacity metrics functionality. The first ensures that they can quickly build their models, while the latter helps them understand their space better so they can quickly fulfill incoming requests.”

This release is packed with new features that support colocation data centers. Here are some highlights:

  • Improved Cages: copy and paste zones to easily create your model
  • Sell Space Fast: easily accessible capacity metrics make it easy to fulfill incoming customer requests
  • Know Your Space: the model lets you know how much space you have at your disposal
  • Enhanced Graphics: streamlined model navigation and crisp reporting content
