About the role:

You will join the Development team responsible for delivering great products to data center and electronics cooling professionals around the globe. The software suite contains different simulation product lines for thermal engineers, data center designers and operators. The suite runs on both desktop (windows and linux) as well as web and database applications. As QA Manager, you will oversee the activity of the QA test department (currently a size of 6). This role will allow you to manage the staff as well as developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the full 6SigmaDC and 6SigmaET software suite.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Hires, trains and help to grow the QA department
  • Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
  • Conducts performance evaluations.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
  • Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
  • Research and recommend any tools required by the team with a focus on automation, end to end testing and customer journeys
  • Communicates quality standards and parameters to QA team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
  • Sign off the product quality before shipping
  • Coordinates product testing processes.
  • Participates in product testing.
  • Identifies and analyses issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
  • Reviews client, customer, and user feedback.

 

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years working experience in a QA manager role
  • At least 5 years working experience in a QA role
  • Experience of both desktop and web software testing
  • Experience and understanding of agile development methodologies
  • Experience of experience of industry standard automated tooling, such as Squish, Cypress or others
  • Any SaaS experience would be useful but not required
  • Any software security experience would be useful but not required.
