We are an organisation based in central London who develop a cutting-edge scientific software, as well as providing services to the world's largest data centres and to the industry's leading consultancies. We are currently looking for a Software QA Engineer to expand our team in central London, with responsibility for testing of web applications and UI/UX.
This is a position with a wide scope, and the successful candidate will be expected to take part in manual testing and, where needed, automated testing.
The role is office-based, but the successful candidate may be expected to work from home for an initial period of time. Equipment and training will be provided virtually if required.
At least 12 months of experience in a similar role (e.g. QA Engineer, Manual Tester)
Strong numeracy skills
Scientific-oriented degree (e.g. Maths, Physics, Engineering)
Basic knowledge of and enthusiasm for programming
Demonstrated experience in programming
Previous experience in an Agile development team
Previous experience with a highly technical/scientific software
Previous experience in automated testing of web applications (e.g. Selenium, Cucumber)
Willingness to learn, take initiative and work in a team-oriented environment
Interested in pursuing a career as QA Engineer/Software Developer in Test
Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
High level of rigour and an eye for detail
Good time management skills
£30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
