The world as we know it is relying more and more heavily on these technologies, which all are powered by the data center industry. Here at Future Facilities, we help to ensure every time you need them, those data centers are up and running effectively, but also efficiently. We do this through our Digital Twin Simulation software for the data center and electronics cooling industry. Our software is globally recognized as the gold standard for data center design and operations. It is used by some of the world’s biggest companies from search engine providers, social media giants and tech moguls to design, manage and optimize their facilities the world over.

About the role:

Our business is growing rapidly as is our development team to meet the needs of customers and sales prospects. We are looking for a Product Engineer to join our dynamic team and work closely with the two Product Managers to build great software that people love to use.

We run 3 dev teams from the London office responsible for web and desktop simulation tools. The role will be responsible for:

  • Liaising between Engineering, Sales, Account Manager, Support, PMs and the Dev team
  • Managing the Product Backlog
  • Prioritize defect or bug resolution
  • Research technical requirements for future development
  • Ensure user stories are ready for development
  • Acceptance of stories including documentation and QA review
  • Facilitate design meetings with in-house users or customers
  • Attend or run the various development meetings
  • Contribute to roadmaps, delivery and release cycles.

 

Required Skills

  • At least 5 years data center experience of cooling and/or power technologies
  • A physics, engineering, or technical background.

 

Desirable but not essential skills

  • JIRA/Confluence proficient
  • Experience of data center CFD software
  • Any experience of software security would be beneficial
  • Any experience of AI/ML techniques would be useful
  • MongoDB or other database experience would be beneficial
  • Understanding of 3 phase power distribution to the data center space.
