Consultant Engineer - London HQ

The Company

Future Facilities is at the forefront of thermal simulation and consultancy for the data-centre and electronics- design industries. Our software, 6SigmaDC, is used around the world to construct 3D models which simulate air flow and heat transfer around electronics devices and cooling systems. We provide our clients and beyond with in-depth technical research and expertise.

The Role

We would like to expand our engineering department and are looking for someone who would like to work with us as a consultant engineer. You would be part of a dynamic team, in a varied role with an exciting array of opportunities. The work will involve:

• Simulation of data centres and their supporting infrastructure, utilising Future Facilities’ proprietary CFD & engineering simulation software, 6SigmaDC
• Consultancy services for high-profile customers. Simulation and analyses, site surveys, reporting and presenting
• Supporting pre-sales: Providing technical knowledge and software demos in sales meetings
• Supporting post-sales: Software and engineering support
• Assisting with design and test of new and updated software features
• Preparing and presenting software training courses

The Candidate

• Confident and approachable
• Must hold a degree in engineering or similar
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive, resourceful, and autonomous
• Has an aptitude for problem solving and lateral thinking
• Can work well in a team as well as alone
• Advantageous but not essential: Experience of CFD, fluid-dynamics, thermo-dynamics and/or building services

This role is open to graduate applicants and experienced applicants alike, with salary dependent on experience.
