6SigmaDC User Group Meeting Update We had a excellent turnout for our 1st annual 6Sigma user group meeting that was held at Align Communications in New York City last month. There was a good mix of engineering design consultants and equipment manufacturers in attendance that made for lively conversation and information exchange. Representatives from Emerson Leibert, AKF Engineers, PTS Data Center Solutions , EYP Align Communications, AFCO Systems and Hewlett Packard were in attendance. On the agenda was a new advanced training class called Cooling Path Design taught by Akhil Docca, Engineering Services Manager for North America. Cooling path design is a “recipe” for using the Virtual Facility to identify and fix cooling breakdowns that can occur at any point along the path of the cooling air. Most of the severe breakdowns we see today occur inside the cabinet and within inches of the inlets and exhausts of the IT equipment. Also on the agenda was a sneak peak at the upcoming v4 release of 6SigmaRoom and a product discussion with Matt Warner, Business Development Manager. The release is on track for distribution in May. We would like thanks to Matt McGinn and Jim Dooling from Align Communications for the hospitality and use of their conference room. We hope to see you at our next user group meeting on the winter of ’09.
