Future Facilities will participate as a Research Underwriter in the Uptime Institute’s Lean, Clean & Green Symposium & Exposition at the New York Hilton from April 13-16.

At the symposium, Future Facilities will present a simulation-based methodology that addresses the most common efficiency problems that plague the modern mission critical facility.  These problems a caused by high performance IT equipment that dissipate high power in small volumes.

Historically, owner/operators have not had the tools or guidance needed to take control over the environmental impact of IT equipment “thermal footprint”.  The methodology that will be presented bridges this gap in knowledge and expertise to enable data center operators to tackle complex, IT-related cooling and efficiency issues.  Efficiency gains of up to 50% for the facility cooling system can be achieved with this technique.

In addition to the presentation, an associated white paper entitled: Using Computational Fluid Dynamics to Maximize Data Center Efficiency Without Sacrificing IT Equipment Resilience will be submitted.
