SEMI-THERM 28, San Jose, 18-22 March 2012
Back for another year but even bigger! Come and visit us at SEMI-THERM 28! This year, six new technical courses are being offered in the SEMI-THERM pre-conference program, two of which will be presented by our very own Mark Seymour and Dr. Chris Aldham:
Thermal Design of Electronic Systems for use in Data Centers
Sunday, March 18, 2012 - 8:00am - Noon
This half-day course will discuss the thermal design of electronic systems with specific emphasis on the interaction between the system and its environment. It will also mention future trends in both system and data center design and the need to ensure that both are fully compatible.
Data Center Design Cannot Ignore Electronic System Details
Sunday, March 18, 2012 - 1:30pm - 5:30pm
Data Center cooling design is usually done in complete ignorance of the thermal design of the electronics that will be housed inside. This course will demonstrate the thermal issues and will show the ad-hoc fixes that are becoming standard in data center operation to cope with disconnect between the electronics thermal design and data centre cooling design.
If you are interested in attending either of these courses, logon to Semi-Therm.org.
Hope to see you there, if not on the 18th!
