Future Facilities invites you to a live web demonstration of “Cooling Path Design”, a new, simulation-based methodology for maximizing equipment resilience and cooling energy efficiency for the MCF.
The need for cooling path design stems from the proliferation of modern IT equipment that dissipate unprecedented amounts of heat, use powerful internal cooling fans, defeat the hot/cold aisle and jeopardize the resilience of surrounding equipment. Traditionally, the challenge was to segregate hot and cold air. Today, the challenge is to ensure that the inlets of each and every piece of equipment are getting sufficient air at the right temperature.

Cooling Path Design is a systematic, easy-to-apply methodology that enables airflow management of the complete path taken by the cooling air, including the path to and from the specific equipment inlets and exhausts; thereby bridging a critical gap that is overlooked by simple CFD tools and traditional design approaches. This unique approach provides designers and Owner/Operators the perfect combination of maximizing equipment resilience, energy efficiency, and lower operating costs for the MCF.
The 6SigmaDC suite of products from Future Facilities and a representative case study will be used to demonstrate cooling path design.
Who Should Attend?
Cooling path design is relevant to those responsible for initial design data centers and ongoing thermal health of the IT equipment. As such, the webinar is for data center designers, operators, IT personnel and equipment manufacturers.
